YANGDA Technical Support Team Successfully Conducts 5-Day Training on Sky Whale VTOL Drone System in Kenya

From February 17 to 21, 2025, YANGDA’s technical support team successfully conducted a 5-day training program in Nairobi, Kenya, focused on the Sky Whale Heavy Lift Long-Endurance Electric VTOL Drone System. The training aimed to equip local operators with the skills to effectively deploy the Sky Whale drone system, which includes an onboard Storm Eye-30IE-M EO/IR Drone Zoom Camera with a laser rangefinder, a 60KM video and data link with a tracking antenna, and a rugged ground control station.

This system integrates a high-performance 3-axis gimbal and a high-precision laser rangefinder, equipped with auto-identification capability and thermal imaging to deliver accurate, stable tracking of objects in detail, making it an ideal solution for applications in Kenya, such as border patrol, wildlife protection in national parks, and security surveillance, providing reliable, real-time monitoring in complex and expansive environments.

Training Overview

The 5-day training combined theoretical instruction with hands-on practice, covering basic operations such as drone assembly, pre-flight inspection, battery maintenance, and essential skills like drone flight operations, mission planning, and data processing. Through practical exercises and simulated missions, participants gained in-depth knowledge of how to deploy the drone system for a variety of tasks.
